In today’s litigious world, especially when a claim has been brought against a real estate licensee, it is imperative that counsel first secure an expert opinion as to whether the licensee violated any state or federal laws, rules or regulations, including the applicable standards of care. If not, there is no case. Who could be more familiar with these issues than someone who’s advised and represented real estate clients, written the industry forms, and counselled its members for nearly 50 years?
